Mr. Ashok Kharel graduated from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He currently serves at the Family Healthcare Products and Services (P) Ltd. as Managing Director. With three years of experience as a Chairperson at Nepal Thalassemia Society and having many years work experience in FP/RH organisations, he believes that women's Sexual and Reproductive Health; specifically Family Planning is very important in the overall social and economic development of a country like Nepal. He believes that I/NGOs can particularly play a vital role in improving these developmental areas. With a deep passion to continue his contribution towards women’s health, especially on family planning, he decided to continue as a board member of Sunaulo Parivar Nepal in the capacity of Treasurer. He believes collaboration of Sunaulo Parivar Nepal and ISM will further contribute to women’s access to contraceptive through contraceptive social marketing and is working towards being a liaison to realize the same.
