If you've had a positive pregnancy test, you may have mixed feelings about the pregnancy and your options.
The decision you make about the pregnancy is very important – you should give yourself time to consider your situation. It's important to face what's happening and seek advice as soon as possible.
It's also important to make the right decision for you; this might not be the decision your friends or family would make.
Try and talk it over with someone. If you feel unable to talk to friends or family, you can speak to a Marie Stopes Nepal counsellor or service providers at Marie Stopes Centres. Marie Stopes Centres take your privacy seriously and any counselling conversations will be confidential.
If you're not sure what to do, you have three choices to consider.
-Continue with the pregnancy and become a parent. Should you wish to do this, contact your service provider who will arrange antenatal care.
-Continue with the pregnancy and consider adoption or fostering.
-End the pregnancy through abortion. If you don't want to continue with the pregnancy, contact your service provider, family planning clinic or Marie Stopes centres in Nepal. They will be able to advise you on abortion options, and whether you can access abortion.
It's important for you to know how many weeks pregnant you are, as this will affect your options. Medical abortion (the abortion pill), for example, is only recommended for women up to 8 weeks Marie Stopes Centres in Nepal.
