We believe that our work should be rigorously measured and evaluated. It is only by doing this that we can understand the impact that our work has on the women and men we aim to support. Understanding our impact is also critical in helping us to improve the way we deliver our services. We place great emphasis on using evidence to continually monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the work we do.
We have developed mathematical models that help us understand the impact of our current work and to plan higher impact future projects. We use a mathematical model called ‘Impact 2′ which calculates impacts such as the number of unplanned pregnancies and unsafe abortions prevented, the number of maternal deaths averted, and even economic cost savings to the healthcare system
