HPV Vaccine

HPV vaccine can help to prevent cervical cancer.

Vaccinating girls from 9 to 14 years of age before initiation of sexual activity is an important primary prevention intervention in a comprehensive cervical cancer prevention and control programme. The vaccines do not treat pre-existing HPV infection or HPV-associated disease, which is why vaccination is recommended prior to initiation of sexual activity.

Dosage for Vaccine

For girls of age 9 years to 14 years: 1 dose of HPV vaccine.

For women of 15 to 45 years: 2 doses of HPV vaccines- one given at first visit and another dose is given 6 months after the first dose.(0,6)

For women who are immunocompromised/ women living with HIV- 3 doses(at 0,2 months and 6 months).

We provide WHO certified HPV Vaccine at our centers.

Note: Currently the vaccine is available at all Marie Stopes Centre.
